The End Time Overview
The End Time, or the Last Days, refers to the period before Jesus’ return. It’s marked by significant events and signs.
Key Biblical Verses:
Matthew 24:3-8: Jesus describes the signs of the End Time, including wars, famines, and earthquakes.
_”As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered and said to them, ‘… For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes… all these things are the beginning of birth pangs.”
2 Timothy 3:1-5: Paul writes about the difficult times in the Last Days, describing people’s behavior.
“But realize this, that in the last days, difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slumpers, ungrateful, unholmic, irreconcilable, malicious givers, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power… “
Revelation 1:7: Jesus’ return is described as a visible, glorious event.
“Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him.”
1 Thessalonians 5:2-3: The day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
“For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, ‘Peace and safety!’ then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child; and they will not escape.”
Matthew 24:36 – Jesus says no one knows the day or hour of his return.
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father alone.”
Main Events:
The Rapture: (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52): Believers are taken up to meet Jesus.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we will always be with the Lord.”
The Tribulation: (Revelation 6-19): A period of suffering and judgment on the earth.
The Second Coming: (Revelation 19:11-16): Jesus returns to establish his kingdom.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war… And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.”
The Final Judgment: (Revelation 20:11-15): All are judged according to their deeds.
“And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.”

“And He will judge between the nations, and will arbitrate for many peoples; and they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; nation will not lift up sword against nation, and they will no longer learn war.”

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. Acts 1:11 – Jesus will return in the same way he left
“And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. They also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.'”
