A quiet and unassuming pastor, a father of four, was tragically killed over a N6,000 debt in Lagos’ Ishaga neighbourhood. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning.
According to eyewitnesses, the pastor, whose identity has not been disclosed, was involved in a heated altercation with Mummy Bella, a trader who runs a thrift business in the market, over the debt. The dispute escalated when Mummy Bella allegedly grabbed the pastor by the collar and shook him, despite pleas from onlookers to release him.
The pastor, described as a quiet man who wouldn’t engage in fights, suddenly collapsed and was rushed to Longe Hospital, but was turned away. He was later taken to Ancilla Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The community is reeling from the news, with traders describing the pastor as a struggling family man who was loved by all. His wife is reportedly devastated, left wondering how she and their four children will cope without him.
Mummy Bella is currently being detained at the Red House Police station in Ajuwon.
