Anchor Text: Psalm 95:1-6 “O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods… O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.”

INTRODUCTION
There is a call in heaven that echoes on earth: “O COME!”
God is not looking for spectators. He is calling for singers, worshippers, and those who will bow before Him.
Psalm 95 is called a “Call to Worship” Psalm. The Psalmist gives us three invitations and three reasons.
When we sing to the Lord, something shifts in the atmosphere. Acts 16:25-26 – Paul and Silas sang and prison doors opened.
Today we will look at:
1. The Invitation: O Come
2. The Instruction: How To Come
3. The Reason: Why We Must Come
1: THE INVITATION – “O COME”
Psalm 95:1 – “O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.”
God Himself is inviting us. This is not religion, this is relationship.
3 Things He’s Calling Us To Do:
1. COME AND SING – Psalm 95:1
Singing is the language of joy. James 5:13 – “Is any among you merry? let him sing psalms.”
God inhabits the praises of His people. – Psalm 22:3
2. COME WITH THANKSGIVING – Psalm 95:2
“Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving…”
You don’t come to God empty. Come with a grateful heart. Psalm 100:4 – “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving…”
3. COME AND BOW DOWN – Psalm 95:6 – “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.”
Singing must lead to surrender. True worship ends on your knees.
God is saying: Don’t just come to church. Come to ME.
2: THE INSTRUCTION – HOW TO COME
Psalm 95:2 – “…make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.”
God tells us the posture of our worship:
1. With Joy – Psalm 100:2 – “Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.”
Not with long faces. Your joy is your strength. – Nehemiah 8:10
2. With Psalms and Songs – Ephesians 5:19 – “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”
Use your voice, your instruments, your life as a song.
3. With Reverence – Psalm 95:6 – “…worship and bow down… kneel before the Lord our maker.”
Joy + Reverence. We are excited, but we are before the King. – Hebrews 12:28
God is not looking for perfection of voice, He’s looking for sincerity of heart. – John 4:23-24
3: THE REASON – WHY WE MUST COME
Psalm 95:3-5 – “For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it…”
We don’t sing because we feel like it. We sing because of WHO HE IS.
1. Because He is a Great God – Psalm 95:3
No god compares to Him. – Deuteronomy 10:17 – “…the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords…”
2. Because He is Our Creator – Psalm 95:5-6 – “…the Lord our maker.”
He formed you. Isaiah 43:1 – “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”
3. Because He is Our Salvation – Psalm 95:1 – “…the rock of our salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2 – “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid.”
He saved you from sin, sickness, and shame. That alone is enough to sing.
4. Because He is Our Shepherd – Psalm 95:7 – “For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.”
He leads, feeds, and protects you.
THE DANGER OF NOT COMING
Psalm 95:7-8 – “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your heart…”
The Psalmist warns us not to be like Israel in the wilderness who heard but did not obey.
A hardened heart cannot sing. A bitter heart cannot worship.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
As you sing unto the Lord today:
1. Every prison door around your life will open – Acts 16:25-26
2. The presence of God will fill your home – 2 Chronicles 5:13-14
3. Your song will provoke testimonies – Psalm 40:3
4. The Lord will fight your battles as you praise – 2 Chronicles 20:22
CONCLUSION
The call is still going out: *“O COME, LET US SING UNTO THE LORD!”
Don’t wait for when things are perfect. Sing now.
Don’t wait for when you feel like it. Sing now.
Your song is a weapon. Your worship is a sacrifice. Your praise is your victory.
Psalm 34:1 – “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
PRAYER: Father, I answer Your call today. I come to sing, I come to thank You, I come to bow down. You are my Rock, my Maker, my Salvation. Let my life be a song that pleases You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
