TRUSTING in the Lord is one of the most powerful spiritual foundations a believer can build on. It affects every area of life—spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and even physically.
Trust in the Lord means to have total dependence in Him.
Trust in the Lord is to believe absolutely in His ability to do and undo.
When you trust God you will enjoy the following benefits:
1. DIVINE DIRECTION AND GUIDANCE
Proverbs 3:5–6 says, “Trust in the LORD… and He shall direct thy paths.”
When you trust God, you will not walk blindly. You will not miss your way.
Psalms 32:8 says, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
When you trust God, you will be divinely instructed. The Holy Spirit will teach you what you should know and do. Not only that He guides you, the Lord will monitor your progressive movement until you fully fulfil destiny.
Trusting God will make Him guide your decisions, steps, emotions in order not to derail from your purpose. You will avoid costly mistakes because the Spirit of God is leading you.
2. SUPERNATURAL PEACE
Trust removes anxiety and replaces it with peace.
Isaiah 26:3 says, “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee…”
Even when things are not perfect, your heart remains calm. You are not shaken by bad news. Romans 8:28 says, “… all things work together for good to them that love God…”
You can’t love the one you don’t trust and vice versa.
3. PROVISION AND SUPPLY
God provides for those who depend on Him. Those who truly trust God will not lack anything good. The good Shepherd doesn’t keep anything good back from His trusting sheep.
Psalms 37:5 — “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass.”
Needs are met, sometimes miraculously. Trust activates divine provision.
4. ANSWERED PRAYERS
Trust strengthens your prayer life. Prayer of the righteous moves heaven into action.
Mark 11:24 — “What things soever ye desire… believe that ye receive them…”
Mark 9:23 …all things are possible to him that believeth…
Trusting God streghtens your faith and makes you believe His authority. Your prayers carry faith, and faith produces results. You shall receive what you pray for when you pray and doubt not.
5. FREEDOM FROM FEAR
Trusting God silences fear (known and unknown).
Psalms 56:3 says, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
Fear loses its grip over your life. You become bold, confident, and stable. You will have complete rest from noisome and noiseless fears.
6. DIVINE PROTECTION
God defends those who trust Him.
Psalms 125:1 says, “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed…”
Psalms 91:1 says,
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
You can’t dwell in the place of someone you don’t trust for safety.
You become spiritually secured, difficult to destroy, shake, or defeat when you trust God.
7. STRENGTH IN DIFFICULT TIMES
Trust gives you inner strength during trials.
Nahum 1:7 says, “The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble…”
When others are breaking down, you are standing strong because your confidence is in God.
When others are intimidated you become a terror because you trust in the Mighty and terrible God – Nehemiah 9:32.
Trusting God begins with you recieving Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name”
I pray for you in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ:
You shall receive strength to overcome the difficult times.
The Name of Jesus shall defend and protect you.
Going forward, the Name of Jesus Christ shall silence every fear terrorising your life.
