BE COURAGEOUS TO STEP FORWARD
Scripture: Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Teaching:
Stepping into a new work, assignment, role, or responsibility can stir fear and self-doubt. We may question our abilities, worry about failure, or feel overwhelmed by the unknown. Yet God’s command to Joshua was not based on Joshua’s confidence or experience—it was rooted in God’s promise of His presence.
• Courage does not mean the absence of fear; but the trust in God’s presence.
• Fear will keep you in disobedience but only with courage can you prove God in every assignment.
• Courage means choosing to obey despite fear.
• When God calls you forward, He does not send you alone. His presence goes ahead of you, stands beside you, and strengthens you along the way.
As you take each step in faith, trust that God equips those He calls and He will walk with you through every challenge. Amen
Prayer:
1. Lord, thank You for Your promise to be with me wherever I go.
2. When fear rises and confidence fades, remind me that You are my strength
3. Give me the courage to step into what You’re calling me to do, trusting not in myself but in You. Amen.
